This documentation explains how to make various types of links clickable within your chatbot, such as website URLs, phone numbers, email addresses, and more.

Website URLs

To create a clickable link for a website, use the following HTML structure:

  • href: The URL of the website you want the user to visit.
  • target=“_blank”: Opens the link in a new tab.
  • Example Website: The text that users will click on.

To create a clickable link that allows users to dial a phone number directly, use the following structure:

  • tel:: Indicates a telephone number.
  • +18001234567: The phone number users will call.
  • Call Us: The text that users will click on.

Fliqr AI provides a Prompt Template section that simplifies adding instructions and formatted examples for training your bot. This feature allows you to create user and assistant message examples in the proper format, ensuring your bot learns how to send clickable links correctly. Best Practices

Use Clear Link Text

The text users will click on should be descriptive and relevant. Avoid generic terms like “Click Here.”

Open External Links in a New Tab

Always use target="_blank" to open external links (like websites and social media) in a new tab. This ensures that users can easily return to the chatbot conversation.

Use SMS Links Thoughtfully

SMS links should be used sparingly, ensuring the phone number is formatted correctly and users are aware that clicking the link will open their messaging app.

Testing Links
