OpenAI Assistants allow you to create distinct AI personas that can access specific files (PDFs, text) to answer user questions based on that knowledge base. This is powerful for creating bots that “know” your specific product manuals or policies.

Enabling Assistants

Navigate to Integration Settings

From your dashboard, go to Settings > Integrations > Prompt Engineering (formerly OpenAI ChatGPT).

Access Assistants Manager

  1. Locate the Assistant (or Assistant Beta) tab.
  2. Click the Manage button to view your list of assistants.

Create New Assistant

Click the Add button to open the configuration editor.

Configure & Save

Fill in the required details:
  • Name: Give your assistant a recognizable internal name (e.g., “Technical Support Bot”).
  • Instructions: Write the specific system prompt for this agent.
  • Files: Upload PDF or text files to serve as the Knowledge Base.
Click Save when finished.
Usage: Once created, your Assistant will appear as a selectable option within the OpenAI Action block in the Flow Builder, allowing you to route specific user queries to this specialized agent.
