Telegram Business allows you to integrate chatbots directly into your personal Telegram account (requires Telegram Premium). This means you can use Chatbot Builder AI to automate responses for your direct messages while maintaining a personal presence.

Prerequisites

To use this feature, you must have:
  1. A Chatbot Builder AI account.
  2. An active Telegram Premium subscription on your personal Telegram account.

Setup Guide

Connecting Telegram Business involves three distinct stages: configuring the bot, linking it to your account, and syncing with the platform.

Configure Bot Mode

  1. Open Telegram and search for @BotFather.
  2. Type /mybots and select the bot you wish to use as your automation engine.
  3. Click on Bot Settings.
  4. Find Business Mode and toggle it ON.

Link to Personal Account

  1. Open your Telegram App settings on your phone or desktop.
  2. Navigate to Telegram Business > Chatbots.
  3. Paste your bot’s link or username and click Add.
  4. Permissions: Choose whether the bot can access All 1-to-1 Chats (recommended for full automation) or Selected Chats Only.

Sync with Chatbot Builder AI

  1. Log in to your Chatbot Builder AI dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings > Channels.
  3. Select Telegram.
  4. Enter your Bot Token (if not already connected) and click Continue.

Managing Conversations

Once connected, messages sent to your personal Telegram account will appear in the Chatbot Builder AI Inbox.
  • Live Chat: You can reply manually from the Telegram app or the Chatbot Builder Inbox.
  • Automation: Triggers and Keywords set up in the Flow Builder will fire based on incoming messages.
  • Filtering: Use the Business Profile Contact condition in your flows to differentiate between personal contacts and business leads.
Best Practice: To avoid double-replies, go to Settings > Telegram Business > Greeting Messages (in the Telegram App) and disable Away Messages or native greetings, letting Chatbot Builder AI handle the logic instead.
