The TikTok integration allows you to automate responses to Direct Messages (DMs) sent to your business account. This helps maintain a centralized inbox and improves communication efficiency.

Setup Guide

Navigate to Settings

  1. Log in to Chatbot Builder AI.
  2. Go to Settings > Channels in the side menu.
  3. Select TikTok.

Authorize Connection

  1. Click Connect.
  2. You will be redirected to TikTok’s authorization page.
  3. Log in with your TikTok Business account credentials.
  4. Click Continue to grant the necessary permissions.
Once connected, your TikTok DMs will appear in the Chatbot Builder AI Inbox, and your automated flows will trigger based on user inputs.

Critical Limitations

TikTok’s API has strict regional and operational constraints.

Regional Availability

Accounts created in the following regions DO NOT have access to the messaging API (until 2025 or further notice):
  • 🇺🇸 United States
  • 🇪🇺 European Union (EU)
  • 🇳🇴 🇮🇸 🇱🇮 European Economic Area (EEA)
If your TikTok Business Account was created in one of these regions, the integration will fail to send or receive messages.

Messaging Rules

  • Inbound Only: You cannot message a user first. The user must send a DM to your bot to start the conversation.
  • No Broadcasting: Proactive mass messaging is strictly prohibited.
  • 48-Hour Window: You can send up to 10 messages within 48 hours of the user’s last interaction.
  • Rate Limits: Each business account is limited to 100-200 conversations per day. Exceeding this triggers error [40064].
